Welcome to he Reframe with KCA
Over the past few years, I’ve found myself reflecting deeply on the kind of content we consume and the ways we share our stories. We’re living in a time where everyone we know participates in content creation, where flashy marketing tools and declamatory speaking styles can make even the most under researched beliefs sound convincing. It’s noisy, overwhelming, and often leaves us feeling more disconnected than informed.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce my next passion project: The Reframe.
This limited series is my attempt to create a different kind of space for musicians, one rooted in honesty, research, and connection. My hope is that The Reframe will help folks feel less alone and provide a trusted, reliable source of conversations and ideas. It’s about slowing down, digging deeper, and offering thought-provoking arguments that can actually help our community thrive. For creatives, the challenge is constant: how do we stay true to our art while also making a living? Is marketing truly a valuable tool, or something you can afford to ignore? And in an industry that often shames people into clinging to the sunk cost fallacy, is it really possible to pivot?
At its core, The Reframe is about reinvention. It’s about what happens when artists, educators, and visionaries dare to evolve, even when it’s messy or inconvenient. Together with my co-host, Jen Cubides, we’ll explore what it means to pivot, to burn out, to shed old titles, the death of the ego, and to discover new definitions of success. These are raw, honest conversations with people who have walked through change and come out the other side with new clarity, courage, and purpose.
Whether you’re in the middle of a big pivot, questioning your path, or just waking up to the reality that your current title no longer fits you’re in the right place.
I believe our creative community is looking for substance for truth-telling, for nuance, for examples of people who have built meaningful, passion-driven careers on their own terms. The Reframe is my contribution to that need: a series that invites us to think differently, to expand our perspectives, and to remind one another that reinvention is not just possible, it's necessary.
I hope you’ll join us for this journey. Let’s reframe what it means to succeed, to create, and to belong.
